This post is final part of the series "A New Kitchen for our New House," photos of the kitchen both before and after we changed it. These photos are in addition to the photos in the link index post.
The single biggest change is the construction of a new bar with four wine coolers and wall cabinets above a nearly ten-foot long quartz bar top. This fills in a very long and bare wall along the rear wall of our garage.

The next most significant change is the relocation of the cooktop from the island to the exterior side wall of the house where we could vent the cooktop directly to the outside, rather than trying to pull hot exhaust down and out under the house.

The third large change was to demolish the small three-level island that seated two and replace it with a large flat workspace that seats five.

The area of least change was the corner from the sink to the oven and refrigerator. This section, we merely updated with a new deep single-bay sink, subway tile backsplash, and open shelving in lieu of closed wall cabinets.

Next, a few more shots of the new kitchen.
The final shot is of the new cocktail table in the living room made from tubular steel and the remainder of the island slab.
