Architectural Embellishments of Italy

This post is for Ann, who took many of these photos. She has a thing for architectural detail, as do I, and there is no end of really interesting doors, windows, niches, and other architectural embellishments to photograph all over Italy. I should clarify. I am speaking of classical embellishments in Italian-speaking Italy and not of the timber framing and stags' horns of the alpine style found in German-speaking Trentino-Alto Adige.
