June Wildflowers of the South Canyon, Deschutes River, Bend OR

We're extremely fortunate to live on a National Wild and Scenic River, the Deschutes, one of the prettiest whitewater rivers that I have ever seen. Here in the south of Bend, Oregon, the river narrows and screams through what is known as the South Canyon, our playground now since February. Back in May, I started photographing the area just as spring was starting. In June, I made another couple passes, one early in the month and one towards the end of the month. While blooming wildflowers were few and far between in May, they are rampant now just at the first of July.
